Important Information

Contacting your teachers: Communication is one of the most important elements in a successful school year. Ms. Bowman, Mrs. Johnson and I take pride in working together with our families to ensure a successful year for all! Please keep us posted regarding your observations at home. You are valued and appreciated! The easiest way to contact us is by email. We do our best to respond as soon as possible.

Weekly Email- An email will be sent each week (or every two weeks) with homework and weekly reminders. Please make sure you read the email every week! The email will include important dates, activities, and announcements. It is also a way to share upcoming assessments and Spirit Days. Don't forget to let me know your primary email address!
Arrival -The school day begins at 9:10 a.m. If your child is late to school, please go directly to the office to sign them in.
Dismissal- Dismissal begins at 3:40. Please let us know if your child is leaving early from school by emailing kpaulk@crsd.org and gwinslow@crsd.org or calling the office. Feel free to include me in the email if you wish.
*If you are picking your child up as a car rider, please send a note/email so we can alert the office. Thank you!
What to Bring Each Day- Students should bring their school bag, homework assignment book, Take Home Folder, healthy snack, lunch (or lunch money if they are buying), and a positive attitude!
Snack – We will enjoy a morning snack every day. Please make sure that you are sending in a PEANUT/NUT FREE snack. If possible, please send in any utensils that are required for your child's snack. Thank you so much!
**lunch is at 1:30, so we try to eat our snack after special at 10:15, or between 10:30-12:30.
Lunch- Please pack your child's lunch or have them buy lunch from the cafeteria. Monthly menus are available on the WES website and are also sent home prior to the new month. If your child is buying lunch, you can set up a lunch account ONLINE, or send in money via check or cash.
Water Bottles- If your child brings in a water bottle, please make sure it’s labeled with their name and/or initials. Thanks!
**Stanley Cups- If possible, please keep Stanley Cups at home. They cause many unnecessary spills in the classroom. Thank you.
Specials- Please review your child's special schedule prior to the start of the week.
Monday- Gym (Wear sneakers)
Tuesday- Library (Bring back your books!)
Wednesday- Music
Thursday- STEAM
Friday- Art
