Dear First Grade Friends,
My name is Mrs. Colleen
Downer and I’m going to be your teacher . I am very excited about sharing with you the
stories, games
, and learning
activities I have planned! In first grade, we will have a lot of fun, develop a
LOVE for reading
, become excellent writers
and make new
friends.
I can’t wait to get to know YOU
better and I am sure you are eager to know a little bit about me too! I have
taught both fourth and fifth grade but don’t tell anyone because I love
teaching 
grade the best! Outside of school, I enjoy
spending time with my family, walking in the park, reading and travelling to
new and exciting places.
